Police in Las Vegas were a little premature in putting their spin on a drug bust last week. After they said the seizure of 452 pounds of cocaine near Jean was the biggest in state history, the Las Vegas Review-Journal found at least one larger bust—an 851 pound seizure in 1993.

“If relative size matters, then Wednesday’s cocaine bust wasn’t as impressive as police officials originally said,” the newspaper reported.
