The Crisis Call Center needs volunteers to work its suicide phone line and to work in its Sexual Assault Support Services (SASS) Program, which assists victims and families.
There will be six training sessions for volunteers during August. “Trainings are held quarterly with 56 hours of class time and additional hours for hands on experience,” according to information from the center. “Due to the nature of our work and the diverse issues we cover, solid attendance is crucial.”
Volunteers are expected to commit to serving a year in the area for which they are trained.
