Oil industry group tours Nevada

A political organization called Americans for Prosperity, a front group for the environmental polluter Koch Family Industries, has begun a national tour, including stops in Carson City, Henderson and Las Vegas, to oppose federal regulations to prevent BP-style crises. Koch is a huge conglomerate with dealings in oil, chemicals, natural gas and other fields.

The reclusive Sharron Angle, Republican U.S. Senate nominee, attended one of the southern rallies and gave an interview to talk show host Roger Hedgecock.

AFP next month will host a national convention of ultraconservatives at the Venetian in Las Vegas.
