Art Mix Prom Night

There are so many upsides to redoing your prom experience; for instance, you probably don't have braces at this point, no one is going to breathalyze you, everyone has finally realized acrylic French manicures are terrible and you (probably) won't have that inevitable fight with your mother about your hair half an hour before the dance. Plus, the Crocker Art Museum's Art Mix Prom Night is put on in conjunction with Unseen Heroes, the event-planning duo behind most of the city's most awesome events.

The night will feature music from DJ Kaprihsun, DJ Eddie Edul and Hero's Last Mission, and Deeda Salon will have a pop-up station, which means you can leave those ringlet up-dos firmly in the past. There will also be a temporary tattoo station and table where you can create a studded leather bracelet, because rock 'n' roll. This all suggests that there won't be many Bryan Adams slow jams played, though we can't make any promises.

Though the event is listed as having a 5 p.m. start time, happy hour allegedly takes place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., so eager drinkers should post up early. Regardless, drink specials are under $5 all night, so even if you're not into re-enacting the most sequined night of your life, it's still one of the cheapest spots in town to drink. $10, 5-9 p.m., 16 O Street, https://crockerartmuseum.org.
