A whole lot of history

Black History Month programming

Yes, it sucks that Black History Month is already the shortest month of the year. Historically, blacks have fought difficult battles, suffered greatly and inspired other minorities to unite and fight for their own rights. There is still much to fight for—and much to learn. Thankfully, the Sacramento Library will pack in several dozen Black History Month events this month including crafts, concerts and a three-part film series called “Created Equal.” It's part of a national, multi-year program created by the National Endowment for the Humanities. Check out all the events at www.saclibrary.org/Home/Events.
