Thomas Cunningham, rockin’ the beanie, ready to organically rock your world.

Hating those cover charges? Wander by the Fox & Goose at 1001 R Street on Thursday, May 27, around 8:30 p.m., and you can see Thomas Cunningham—an itinerant “organic pop-rock” singer-songwriter, now based in Los Angeles, who’s in the mold of such illustrious careerist slackers as Jack Johnson and Ben Harper. The show is free. Cunningham hails from Davis originally, and his recent EP, The Bottle of Wine, featuring the single “The Bottle of Wine,” had his publicist gushing over the course of several phone calls. And if you’re willing to pony up a fin, you can see Steve Taylor, SquishTheBadMan and Ruby Cocktails a block away at Old Ironsides, 1901 10th Street, for $5. That show starts at 8 p.m. Who said you can’t stretch your entertainment dollar in this town?
