Last week, we teased you with a mention of AC/DShe, an all-female AC/DC cover band from the Bay Area that’s playing the Roadhouse (1556 Bell Avenue in Del Paso Heights) at 8 p.m. on Friday, April 23, for $10. The Bon-ettes are still on. But, for a different flavor, check out Elena Powell’s show at the True Love Coffeehouse, 2406 J Street, the following night. Sure, Powell’s listened to her share of AC/DC-style buttrock, but she’s also soaked up a variety of other influences. Her show, on Saturday, April 24, at 9 p.m., features the Ruby Cocktails opening; cover’s $7. And if you can’t bother to make it off the grid for AC/DShe, check out Redding’s greatest Dean Martin acolyte, Slam Buckra, who plays the True Love on Friday, April 23, with the fine Las Pesadillas frontman, Noah Nelson, opening. Show starts at 9 p.m.; cover’s $7.
