“The hills are alive with the sound of music!”

Anarchy in Citrus Heights? Well, not exactly. But make no mistake, the Whiskey Rebels would still probably break into your house and drink all your liquor, if given the chance. The Sacto punks (according to MySpace, they come complete with their own triangle player, Carl Winslow of Family Matters) come together with New Jersey ska-punk octet, the Hub City Stompers, for a night that’s sure to be full of mohawked and checkerboard-printed goodness. Who knows? There might even be a good, old-fashioned Ramones cover, if you’re lucky. Also scheduled to appear are skinhead punks (the good kind) Madhouse Disciples and oi trio Pressure Point. So, if you want your Friday night plans boozed, bruised and tattooed, make sure you stop by the Fire Escape Bar and Grill. If you don’t, the Whiskey Rebels will probably track you down and come kick your ass personally. So I’d do it just to stay on the safe side. If you practice the art of checking the goods before buying, find the Whiskey Rebels at www.myspace.com/whiskeyrebels.
