A new gallery has hatched in Midtown, and it’s named after its owner, a just-legal adult, Alex Bult. His lineage includes notable regional art makers (Matt Bult, father; Wayne Thiebaud, grandfather) and dealers (Paul Thiebaud, uncle), and now he’s continuing in the tradition of the family business with his fine art show space. This month’s featured artist, Jeff Myers, is another Sacramentan who’s carried on the family trade of creating visual imagery. Myers, the progeny of professional photographers, will be exhibiting a new series of work that highlights a fascination with farm equipment, the sparsity of rural landscapes and its connection with the chaos of urban sprawl.
