Dirty habits to green habits

Sure, you’re sick of being told to change your light bulbs and unplug appliances when they’re not in use. But we don’t care—these are small, simple, easy steps to take to better conserve energy:

1. Plant a tree: Take a Saturday morning to plant a tree or three in your yard this spring.

2. Run the dishwasher only when it’s full: No excuses: Just be lazy and let the dishes pile up, then wash!

3. Eat meatless a few days a week: Cows emit a lot of methane. Eat vegetarian for 50 percent of your meals and help cut back.
