Apocamon

Here’s the best unexpected combo since peanut butter and chocolate: Pokémon-inspired animation wedded to end-times theology of the type found in Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins’ Left Behind series. Patrick Farley uses his online, anime-flavored animation techniques to bring life to the Revelation of St. John the Divine. Included is an “Apocadex” that has cards for each of the apocalyptic players, from saints to beasts, listing their agenda and superpowers. For instance, the Lamb can open the seven seals, and his blood “acts as a super-detergent, which washes garments white.” The episodes covering the seven-seal and seven-trumpet judgments are free; the rest have a nominal fee. Farley’s other “Electric Sheep” comics can be accessed from the site, and there are links to more apocalyptic comics.
