Issue: November 02, 2017
Welcome to this week's Reno News & Review!
This week, we talk about sex. More precisely, we talk about talking about sex, especially with kids and teens. A lot has changed in the last decade and a half, but the school sex ed curriculum hasn't. Updating it turned out to be easier said than done—and there's quite a bit of disagreement on exactly what should be taught. See this week's feature story, "Sex ed: We're doing it wrong."
Also in this issue, guest columnist Tim Conder looks at the process of "cleaning up" Fourth Street from the point of view of those who've been priced out of the neighborhood. It's dark-beer season, so drink columnist Marc Tiar takes us on a tour of local stouts, and movie guy Bob Grimm has advice to steer clear of a horror-flick flop.
As always, RN&R's news, calendar and arts sections have a lot more to keep you up to date and help you decide what to do this weekend.
Thanks for reading our paper.
