What are you doing to celebrate Halloween?
OK, I know, I know. Your kids have Friday off for Nevada Day. Your spouse has Friday off for Nevada Day. Your government has Friday off for Nevada Day. Guess what? You don’t get Friday off for Nevada Day. Don’t worry about it, Friday isn’t really Nevada Day. What Friday happens to be is the kick-off to the Halloween weekend, the closest thing to a national holiday the pagan set has. If you’re looking for music to help with your Earth worship, investigate the best band in Reno, the Saddle Tramps, at the Golden Phoenix on Oct. 29. You can also check out Alice Cooper’s show at the City Center Pavillion on Oct. 30. Former Stray Cats bassist Lee Rocker is going to celebrate the holy day at the Reno Hilton on Oct. 29-30. Abby’s Highway 40 has got a Halloween bash going on on Saturday that’s going to feature the Cosmic Brain Cells. The big fun will likely be found over at the Cantina Los Tres Hombres, though, where Livitz Livitz will headline a cast of thousands on the 30th. For a more complete listing of all the spooky fun, check out the clubs grid, starting on page 33.
