Solaris

A great film that many will hate with undying passion. George Clooney stars as a doctor sent to a spaceship orbiting a mysterious planet, where the crew has been experiencing some strange symptoms. Upon arrival, he starts seeing things that won’t be given away here. Clooney is fantastic, and the sci-fi element is only a backdrop for a thought provoking exploration of questions regarding human identity. I loved it, but there was a mass exodus of patrons during the screening I attended. Directed by Steven Soderbergh.
