Eco-Event: Green on the Green

Mountain View Montessori School and LakeRidge Golf Course are holding a “Green on the Green” fundraising event for the school on Aug. 30 from noon to 8 p.m. This erase-your-trace event is billed as Reno’s “first green golf tournament.” With help from Nevada EcoNet, it offers a locally sourced barbecue, compostable serving ware and recycling stations, and a free Prius if you hit a hole-in-one. $150-$650 for various sponsor levels.
