A swig and a jig

Get a taste of Europe this weekend during Eurofest 2005. The seventh annual event features the beers, food and arts and crafts of various countries including Germany, Italy, Spain and Poland. While adults can sample the more than 30 beers, kids can entertain themselves with rock-wall climbing, bungee jumping or face painting. Musical headliners include the Al Gruber Band, The Internationals and the Young Dubliners (pictured). Al Gruber Band and The Internationals play polka favorites while the Young Dubliners are known for their high-energy Celtic rock. The Young Dubliners perform 7 p.m. June 10-11 and the Al Gruber Band and The Internationals play several shows June 10-12. The free festival takes place at Rail City Casino, 2121 Victorian Ave., Sparks. Event hours at 4-10 p.m. June 10; 11 a.m.-10 p.m. June 11 and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. June 12. Call 359-9440.
