The Queen’s court

Rock ’n’ roll is filled with stories about band break-ups caused by “creative differences.” Queens of the Stone Age recently went through an upheaval after bassist and co-founder Nick Oliveri, left, was fired from the band leaving singer Josh Homme as the remaining original member. But change is nothing new for this band which has gone through various line-up changes. Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl was even recruited to play drums on its 2002 album, Songs for the Deaf. The group is touring in support of its new album, Lullabies to Paralyze. QOTSA and the Eagles of Death Metal play 8 p.m. June 1 at the Reno Hilton Theater 2500 E. Second St. Tickets are $22.50.
