Americans back the NRA

Organization maintains support, despite criticism

Despite increased dialogue about the prevalence of gun violence in the United States today, a majority of Americans maintain support of the National Rifle Association. That's according to a recent Gallup poll, which found that 58 percent of respondents view the NRA favorably—that's just under 2005, when the NRA received its highest marks ever with 60 percent favoring the gun-rights organization. Here are the results of the survey, broken down by political views.
