A great animation year gets even better with the latest treat from Disney, a wide-eyed, funny, glorious take on the story of Rapunzel and her astonishingly long hair. When Flynn Ryder (Zachary Levi) takes refuge in a forest tower, he is conked on the head by Rapunzel (Mandy Moore), imprisoned since infancy, yet still quite sprightly. The two eventually leave the tower on a journey to see the “floating lights” Rapunzel has witnessed every year on her birthday. She finds true love, and the royal family she was taken away from so long ago. The movie has some nice music, and is extremely well drawn. If you spring the extra couple of bucks for the 3-D glasses, it’s money well spent because the effects are spectacular.
