Issue: January 05, 2017

Hey everyone,
Welcome to RN&R's first issue of 2017. On the cover this week we've got our film guy Bob Grimm's recap of the best and worst movies of 2016. And over in the arts section you'll find editor Brad Bynum's annual list of favorite new albums.
Arts editor Kris Vagner spoke with playwright and peace activist Jeanmarie Simpson Bishop about her one-woman play, The Joy. And in Upfront this week, Dennis Myers recalled actress Debbie Reynolds' place in the Truckee Meadows community.
For this week's Streetalk column, I asked folks to tell me their favorite movies of 2016. But you'll have to pick up a copy of the paper to find out what they said. A physical copy of the RN&R will also provide you with advice from Amy Alkon, laughs from our weekly cartoonists and something to clean your car windshield with.
Regards,
Jeri Chadwell-Singley
