Issue: August 04, 2016

Dear Readers,
Welcome to this week's RN&R!
Even though we got too little sleep and too much caffeine this week, it's still one of our favorite weeks of the year. Our local pride, which is usually high to begin with, is off the charts right now. That's because we get to announce the winners of our annual Best Of Northern Nevada contest, all the bartenders, mechanics, artists, brothels, churches, watering holes, and other people, places and things that make Reno and environs our favorite place to live. Congrats to all the winners, and thanks to everyone who voted.
This is a good week to pick up a paper copy, not only so you can have your very own "Best Of," but also so you can see how cool "Metal" Jeff Rogers' fantastic illustrations look in print. I predict they'll be keepers.
Oh, and don't forget we have all of our regular features too. Dennis Meyers looked into the sexual harassment complaints against City Manager Andrew Clinger, Anna Hart introduced us to new local band Athena McIntyre & The Lost Boys, and when we proofread Todd South's review of Flavors of India, it caused some pretty serious cravings.
Thanks for reading.
