Issue: April 28, 2016

Hey there RN&R readers,
Let’s take a look at what’s in store this week. We’ve got a story from Brad Bynum about getting his medical marijuana card. Here’s the thing — it’s not a Nevada-issued card, though it works in Nevada. Check out the cover story to read about how and why Brad decided to get his card from California.
Also in this week’s issue, we have a story from Kris Vagner about a globetrotting artist who put down roots in Reno after her car broke down on the way to San Francisco. Our Green columnists, Kelsey Fitzgerald, spoke with a group of volunteers who’ve spent the last several years building trails on Peavine to give outdoor enthusiasts the chance to explore the little mountain north of Reno. Bruce Van Dyke remembers Prince in Notes from the Neon Babylon. And, in News, Dennis Myers explains how Nevada law might prevent you from voting on some of your elected officials.
Picking up a paper copy of the RN&R will ensure that you look cool and a little edgy on your coffee or lunch break. Plus, you’ll get to see the cartoons and read Streetalk, not available online. This week, I asked five strangers to tell me about their favorite drug.
Send us your letters to the editor, or just drop us a line sometime. We really do like to hear from you.
Regards,
Jeri Chadwell-Singley
