Issue: October 22, 2015

Hi everybody,
We consider it part of our job to focus on the stories that aren't getting
coverage elsewhere in the community. That's part of why we run a story
about Project Censored's most under-reported stories every year. And this
year the list contains a story we did a lot to highlight in the national
spotlight: police-related civilian fatalities. Check out this week's
feature story to see the rest of the list.
Also in this week's issue, be sure to check out Green reporter Kelsey
Fitzgerald's story about a plant cultivation program that employs prison
inmates, movie reviewer Bob Grimm's just-in-time-for Halloween list of the
best horror flicks of the last 20 years, and Bruce Van Dyke ruminates on
Lamar Odom's disastrous recent visit to a Nevada brothel.
As always, be sure to pick up a newsprint copy of the paper for exclusive
columns, cartoons and paper cuts.
Thanks for reading! If it weren't for you, all of our projects would be
censored.
