Issue: January 24, 2013

Hi everybody,
We like to mix things up here every now and again just to keep things interesting. This week's feature is an illustrated piece that tells the story of artist Mike Ogilvie and the trials and tribulations of his book Lust to Dust, a compilation of comics about prostitution in Nevada. The book was too racy even for Vegas, so in classic Northern Nevada fashion, Reno picked up the slack and will host an exhibition featuring the artists' work. In addition to Ogilvie's feature story, check out Brad Bynum's interview with him in this week's Arts&Culture.
In News, our flying intern Tracie Douglas writes about the services and medication available to help locals overcome addiction. In Green, we chatted with local sustainability advocate David Gibson to find out what Nevada needs to become energy independent. And don't forget to check out our annual Bridal Guide with plenty of ideas for unique and adventurous weddings.
Be sure to pick up a newsprint copy for exclusive columns, cartoons and compost bin linings.
Thanks for reading! If it weren't for you, we wouldn't be able to afford to pay for sex.
Cheers,
Ashley Hennefer, RN&R special projects editor
