Issue: January 10, 2013

Hi everybody,
In this week's RN&R cover story, our movie critic, Bob Grimm, blesses
us all with his predictably contrarian opinions in his annual guide
to the best and worst movies of the last year. For example, he thinks
the Liam Neeson thriller The Grey is a masterpiece, but that Steven
Spielberg's Lincoln is boring. So, next time you see him at the
theater, be sure to run up and tell him how much you disagree with
his take on the year's movies. He loves that.
Also in this week's issue, we have a Gadget guide to high-tech
watches by Matthew Craggs, and Ashley Hennefer checks out The Tahoe
Food Hub's greenhouse up in Truckee, Calif. Our news editor, Dennis
Myers is on vacation, so writer Tracie Douglas is filling in. In her
first news feature, she profiles the four new faces on the Reno City Council.
As always, be sure to pick up a newsprint paper for exclusive
cartoons, columns and birdcage liner.
Thanks for reading! If it weren't for you, we'd have to watch all
those crappy movies that Grimm complains about in his story.
