Issue: May 24, 2012
Hi everybody,
How many times have used you Google today? Many of us use Google
websites and products, like Gmail, YouTube and Droid phones, so often
and so automatically that we don't even think about it ... we just
pour our most personal information into Google like water into a
glass. Rachel Leibrock, a reporter from our sister paper in
Sacramento, first toured Google's headquarters a decade ago. For this
week's cover story, she revisits the headquarters to see how the
company has changed in the last 10 years.
Also in this week's issue, in Streetalk, News Editor Dennis Myers
asks Reno City Council member Dave Aiazzi the question he's been
waiting 15 years to hear: "Did you ride the bus today?" In Green,
Ashley Hennefer talks to two local businessmen who are starting a
"green chamber of commerce," and for Art of the State, I checked out
the new paintings by one of Reno's best artists, Ahren Hertel.
As always, be sure to pick up a newsprint copy of the paper for
exclusive columns, cartoons and tactile sensations.
Thanks for reading! If it weren't for you, we'd have to Ask Jeeves.
