Issue: October 28, 2010

Hi, everybody,
Oh ... my ... god. Is everyone soooooo sick of this election? Well, buck up, buddy, just to add insult to injury, the RN R takes a last-minute look at some of the closer and under-covered races on the 2010 midterm election ballot. Look for our endorsements on the editorial page. Just to take our minds off the electoral tsunami we’re expecting on Nov. 2, we also asked Bob Grimm to tell us about his favorite Halloween movies. And for something completely different, one of our reporters, Teresita Giacaman, wrote in Spanish about a bilingual poetry event for our website, and then she translated it into English for our print version. I can’t wait to see what happens to those Spanish-language letters when they hit html. It’s a web-only exclusive, just go to our Art of the State feature, and there’ll be a link from there. As always, feel free to click the links below, but don’t forget to pick up the newsprint version for print-only exclusives like cartoons and columnists. Thanks for reading our newspaper. If it weren’t for you, we’d be unemployment-only exclusives.
