Issue: August 19, 2010

Hi everybody,
This week, [now Dr.] Deidre Pike returns with her first feature story for us in two years. It started out as another “damn this economy” kind of story, but evolved into … well … sometimes stress can teach you better ways to live. Also in this week’s issue, we look at a new publishing house in Reno, a Reno band with a new CD—ahem—album, and … too much cool stuff to talk about in one tiny newsletter introduction. Go ahead and click the links below, but remember, we’ve got all kinds of columns and cartoons in the newsprint newspaper that you are not going to find on the interweb. As always, thanks for reading our newspaper. If not for you, we’d all have to go get advanced degrees.
Thanks,
Brian
