Issue: December 24, 2009

Hi everybody!
It’s beginning to look a lot like ... murder! This week, in one of the Reno News & Review’s rather more bizarre exhibits of tradition, we offer you a Brad Bynum’s Christmas fiction story to put you off eggnog for good. Well, at least it’s not “I came home to my family for Christmas for the first time in many years. It was bittersweet, but we all learned a little something about forgiveness.” Also in this week’s issue, Dennis Myers takes a look at the harrowing process to create a health-care-reform bill that’s slightly short of gift wrapped. Music critic and arts editor Brad Bynum also offers his favorite albums for both the year and the decade past. You know, there’s more good stuff in this newspaper than you could possibly fit under one tree, so click on the links below, but don’t forget to pick up a newsprint copy for the exclusive content like This Modern World, Red Meat, Roland & Cid and (Th)ink. As always, thanks for reading our newspaper. If it weren’t for you, we’d all be on Santa’s naughty list.
Thanks,
Brian and team
