Issue: June 04, 2009

Hey everyone,I hope everyone’s enjoying the beautiful springtime showers. We’ve got another special issue for you this week. I hope you’ll check out Dennis Myers’ excellent cover story detailing a little of the history of the Friends of Nevada Wilderness and how our state has related to the struggles between conservationists and environmentalists. Not only that, but this week Cheron Taylor tells us about some great summer reading in Arts & Culture. Finally, I’d like you to take a look at my Editor’s Note in which I write about a songwriting contest we’ve got coming up. It’s a new thing for us, so it’ll evolve as we overcome unexpected obstacles, but I’m confident we’re going to make it great. There’s a lot of good stuff in the paper this week. Why don’t you take an issue home and read it over your coffee on Sunday morning? I know, I can’t wait that long, either.Brian
