Worker story wins Pulitzer

On Monday, the Las Vegas Sun received the Pulitzer Prize for public service, one of the most prestigious of the Pulitzer categories. The prize was given for the newspaper’s scrutiny of the high death rate of construction workers on the Las Vegas strip. The written citation particularly praised “the courageous reporting by Alexandra Berzon.” Also contributing to the series were J. Patrick Coolican and Michael Mishak.
