Thrift-giving ideas

One earth-friendly way to help people in need this season won’t cost you a thing: Recycle your gently used clothing, shoes, coats, household goods, appliances, electronics and toys by donating them to a local thrift store. Many of the stores, such as Salvation Army, Easter Seals and St. Vincent’s Thrift Shop, use a portion of funds generated from these sales to help feed, clothe and offer other services to the needy.
