The winter of our contentment
There are those who claim Northern Nevada is a summertime mecca. They just don’t know what they’re missing

Do you remember a winter ever being this slow to start? Here it is, almost Thanksgiving Day, and here in Reno, we’ve only had frost on the ground two or three days. Never fear, Old Man Winter will soon be spreading his blanket over the peaks and the valley.
And if he never does snarl the roads, freeze the ponds or crush some carports? Don’t you worry, you can still drink hot spiced rum, make some fondue, or hang out in Truckee.
But you probably shouldn’t count on wearing shorts come December.
