The Wild Thornberries Movie

Having pure disdain for other Nickelodeon fare like The Rugrats, I was not too excited about seeing Nickelodeon’s latest animated offering. I was pleasantly surprised. The Thornberries are an amusing assortment of personalities, voiced by the likes of Tim Curry and Flea from The Red Hot Chili Peppers. The story of young Eliza (voice of Lacey Chabert) trying to rescue a kidnapped wildcat is endearing, and the humor is blessedly offbeat. Throw in a decent soundtrack that includes Peter Gabriel and Paul Simon, and you have one of the year’s better animated movies.
