Some bad special effects, a weak plot and terrible acting taint the follow-up to the Wachowski Brothers smash original. Keanu Reeves returns as Neo, the Jesus Christ of the computer world, where the last bastion of human survivors looks to overthrow the machines and save freewill. Reeves is still good as Neo, but Laurence Fishburne spoils things as a ham-fisted, bellowing Morpheus.
