That funny feeling

Broadway Comes to Reno kicks off its 2004-2005 season with The Producers. Mel Brooks’ Tony Award-winning musical centers on theatrical producer Max Bialystock and accountant Leo Bloom who devise a scam to raise a lot of money to produce a Broadway flop and take off with the extra money. The duo’s plan backfires, however, when the “flop,” Springtime for Hitler, becomes a hit. Showtimes are 8 p.m. Sept. 30 and 2 p.m. Oct. 2-3 at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts, 100 S. Virginia St. Tickets are $45-$95. Call 686-6600.
