Talk to Her

Rated 3.0 Director Pedro Almodovar has fashioned an interesting meditation on communication, and manages to incorporate a decent bullfight. However, the movie is tremendously strange, a little slow at times, and a little warped for some tastes. I found it fascinating for the most part, but it will inspire some yawns for those looking for brilliance. While good, the director has no business as an Oscar contender this year, with the likes of Peter Jackson (The Two Towers) and Spike Jonze (Adaptation) far more deserving. A shrinking man’s trip “into” a woman is the film’s major highlight.
