At a launch party at Jack Bacon and Co. for the new magazine <b><i>Nevada in the West</i></b>, editor Eric Moody chatted with Caleb Cage of the also recently launched magazine <i>Nevada Review</i>. Moody’s first edition contains articles on Reno educator Mary Doten, the New Deal creation of Virginia Lake, Comstock financier George Hearst, an 1868 execution in Austin, the Eureka opera house, casino figure Si Redd and other topics. The new magazine is available at Sundance Bookstore.
