Spider-Man 3 Soundtrack

Like the black Symbiote Spidey swinging across screens, the soundtrack has its ups and downs—and a touch too much emo. At times, it can be a little too busy and lack the depth of previous web-slinging outings. But it also packs enough jaw-dropping punches that audiences will surely find something to cheer about. If you can wade through a couple of superficial emo songs, this soundtrack will reward you with a nice guitar rocker and a Queen-like ballad. The standout track, “The Supreme Being Teaches Spider-Man How to be in Love” by The Flaming Lips, brings your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man into the mix with Muhammad Ali and a great musical examination of the inner struggles of a superhero. It’s enough to make up for “The Twist,” Chubby Checker’s obligatory soundtrack entry.
