Sixx Gun wedding … Honeymoon from hell
Here come the brides! Nikki Sixx (Mötley Crüe) and Tracii Guns (L.A. Guns) brought their new band,
Brides of Destruction, to the New Oasis Saturday May 22. The band hit the stage playing their single “Shut the fuck up,” a song that takes aim at double-talking politicians. The group’s sound was a mix of ’70s metal and punk garage. Singer London LeGrande, towering at 6 feet 4 inches, belted out the Brides’ new songs wearing war paint reminiscent of the early Crüe look. BOD courted the crowd by playing most of their debut album. For an encore, they jammed with opening bands Living Things and Amen on “I wanna be your dog.” Had Iggy Pop or Sid Vicious been there, they’d have been proud.
