Sideways

A curmudgeon (Paul Giamatti) and his soon-to-be-married friend (Thomas Haden Church) take off on one last bachelor trek. Upon visiting wine country, where they drink a lot of wine, they meet two women (Virginia Madsen and Margaret Cho), which leads to all sorts of humorous difficulties. Giamatti continues to be the national treasure that he is, while Madsen and Church deliver two of 2004’s best comeback performances.
