Sferrazza gets rough

The ink was scarcely dry on our story last week about the race for lieutenant governor being the most civilized in Nevada this year when it got rougher. Democratic candidate Jessica Sferrazza is running two TV spots attacking incumbent Republican Brian Krolicki of being absent from the state too frequently—the office of lieutenant governor is part time, though Krolicki says he works it full time—and for his handling of a college savings plan, the same charges previously brought against Krolicki criminally by the Nevada attorney general. The charges were thrown out of court, though Democrats say there is still reason to question the handling of the plan’s funds.
