Words of wisdom for freshmen?

Hector Hernandez

Student

Prioritize. School before having fun. A lot of kids make that mistake.

Rakhi Motwani

Adjunct faculty

My advice is make sure the education you have—see how you can apply it to the real world. Apart from that, enjoy and try to get as much as possible from the teachers.

Balance it out. Use your opportunities while you can so you’re not making up for them later. I had too much fun. You end up turning a four-year degree into six.

Alana Reid

Don’t worry about the degree you’ll have because you’ll probably change it anyway. Take different classes and get different perspectives to see what you like. Be out there and outgoing, and get into clubs.
