Rove vs. Reid

U.S. Sen. Harry Reid’s wheeling and dealing to get the limited health care program enacted has aroused a new piety in congressional Republicans, who according to former Robert Dole and Bill Frist aide Alec Vachon traded and dealt Medicaid state allotments all the time when they had the majority.

Reid’s dealing also appalled that paragon of virtue, Karl Rove, who wrote in the Wall Street Journal, “Mr. Reid greased a Christmas Eve Senate passage of his bill, but he did so in a way that taints the product.”
