Resident Evil: Apocalypse

The first Resident Evil was serviceable pap thanks to a nice central performance by Milla Jovovich, who returns for more of the same in this equally enjoyable sequel. After her initial nightmare in the depths of the Umbrella Corporation’s underground lab, The Hive, Alice (Jovovich) is injected with a controlled strain of the super virus that is causing the dead to walk. The results turn her into a super fighting machine, and she starts dispatching zombies and bad guys in the ravaged town of Raccoon City. Some of the action is hard to decipher due to choppy editing, but there’s still plenty to enjoy if you are into this sort of thing.
