Red Dragon

This third film featuring Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter gets far away from the goofy gore of Hannibal, returning to the vibe of the far superior The Silence of the Lambs. This is the second film based on Thomas Harris’ novel (Michael Mann released the glossy Manhunter in 1986), and this time they get it right. Edward Norton stars as the FBI agent who put Lecter away and later must consult with him for help in capturing a new serial killer, The Tooth Fairy (Ralph Fiennes). Should be the final chapter in the Lecter saga, but don’t count on it.
