Political debate is elevated a little more
Nevada’s U.S. Sen. Harry Reid seems to have crossed some kind of political threshold—his name is now familiar enough that a merchandiser is selling a line of “GODDAMNED HARRY REID” products.

Among the items bearing this slogan that are available from Café Press are coffee mugs, T-shirts, sweat shirts, camisoles, spaghetti tank tops, baseball caps, tote bags, thong panties, boxer shorts and dog shirts. At this point, it’s probably useful to mention that we are not making this up.

Reid need not take it personally. The same company produces similar products castigating other politicians, including those for his opposite number in the Senate: “GODDAMNED BILL FRIST.” (They are also available for various topics—"GODDAMNED DRUG WAR,” “GODDAMNED DAY JOB,” “GODDAMNED HOMELAND SECURITY").

Besides, Café Press also offers “HARRY REID FOR PRESIDENT 2008” and “GIVE ’EM HELL, HARRY” buttons, mousepads, baseball jersey, T-shirts, and notepads. No thongs, though.
