At Sparks High School last week, Republican Jim Gibbons of Reno met some of his supporters at the announcement of his candidacy in the Nevada governor’s race. That event was one of four announcements he made of his candidacy at different locations around the state. The rallies were taped for use in his advertising. Democrats Dina Titus, Richard Perkins, and Jim Gibson were in the north last week as well, appearing at events in Reno and Minden.
