Activists win
As we went to press, we learned that the case against Janine Hansen and her son Zachary Triggs for gathering petition signatures in a public place was dismissed. The two activists were arrested May 6 while collecting signatures on an initiative petition at the local municipal bus station, CitiCenter. But the Reno city attorney’s office asked Judge Kenneth Howard to drop the case, and Howard complied. The case can’t be refiled.
