New kind of tactic

Edward Hamilton, so far Brian Sandoval's only opponent in the Republican primary for governor, is following an unusual campaign strategy—aiming his appeal at the least number of voters.

Hamilton is attacking residents of Clark County, where most Nevadans—72.2 percent—live, to go after the 15.6 percent of the population in Washoe and the 12.2 percent of the population in the small counties.

In a recent mailing, Hamilton wrote, “Sandoval is PANDERING to the multitude of NON-CITIZENS currently living in the Las Vegas area. He is throwing AMERICAN CITIZENS living up north under the bus by shifting $50 million to teach English to foreigners who have no business being here to begin with lacking proper immigration papers.”
